John Walsh – I’ve been obsessed with films for as long as I can remember really, certainly from the age of four or five and upwards. My earliest memory of going to the cinema is with my family when Jurassic Park came out in 1993 and I suppose a Spielberg classic isn’t the worst initiation film in that regard. My family weren’t for the whole age censorship thing, so I was thrust into the terrifying and in a way perversely enjoyable worlds of Terminator, Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, It and Robocop in my formative years. I suppose that’ll be where my appreciation for the horror and Sci-fi genres rose from. Of course, this was counter balanced with some kid friendly classics like Home Alone, the Wizard of Oz, James and the Giant Peach, Hook and the Lion King. Then at some point in the early to mid 90s I was introduced to Star Wars and so began my fanatical love affair with that particular franchise.
