“RACE” is the story of Jesse Owens played by Stephan James at focuses on Owens life between 1933 and 1936. Jesse Owens real name is James Cleveland Owens and it is explained in the movie that he was born in Alabama and at age 9 moved with his family to Cleveland, Ohio.
With tension like this it’s difficult to like this film. It’s difficult to like feeling tense for almost two hours. But it’s a compelling movie. Riveting, even. With such great acting on display it’s an enjoyable way to feel uncomfortable and frustrated.
Weiner is a fly on the wall documentary, focusing on the unsuccessful, controversy hit, mayoral campaign of 2013 by Anthony Weiner.
The story is about teenage schoolboy Tom (Bill Milner) who is attacked by a gang on his housing estate in London. One of the gang members pulls a gun on Tom and as he is running away they chase after him. Frantically trying to escape the gang whilst he tries to call for help on his phone only to be shot in the right side of his head causing the phone to splinter into a thousand pieces with some of the phone shrapnel going into Tom’s head.

Denial is the true story based on Deborah Lipstadt’s book History on Trial: My Day in Court with a Holocaust Denier when David Irving (Spall) sued Lipstadt (Weisz) for libel.
Remarkably, it’s the fact that Lipstadt called Irving a Holocaust denier which led to her being sued, especially when Irving has, indeed, denied that a mass extermination ever took place during the Second World War.
