The Barbie movie has impressively held its spot within the top five at the domestic box office for a continuous 10-week period, even though it’s been available on VOD since September 12.

Since its release on July 21, the film, featuring Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken, quickly soared to a staggering worldwide gross of over $1.4 billion, claiming the title of the year’s highest-grossing movie.

Despite the release of numerous wide-release films during these weeks, including ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3,’ ‘Blue Beetle,’ and ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem,’ Barbie currently stands at No. 5 on the chart, behind ‘Equalizer 3,’ ‘A Haunting in Venice,’ ‘The Nun II,’ and ‘The Expendables 4.’

While it’s uncertain if Barbie will maintain its position next week due to upcoming releases like ‘The Creator‘ and ‘Saw X,’ it’s clear that its impressive box office run has been a noteworthy achievement.
