All members of the original Friends cast have now expressed their condolences for their late co-star, Matthew Perry.

Perry, renowned for his portrayal of the sarcastic Chandler Bing in the immensely popular US sitcom, was discovered deceased at his Los Angeles residence at the age of 54.

In the aftermath of this tragic news, his fellow co-stars – Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, and Lisa Kudrow – issued a joint statement, requesting time to ‘process this unfathomable loss.’ They conveyed, ‘We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now, we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.’

Subsequently, over the course of Tuesday and Wednesday this week (14 and 15 November), individual tributes were posted by the actors on their respective social media accounts, reminiscing about Perry.”

“Matt LeBlanc, aged 56, who portrayed Chandler’s best friend Joey Tribbiani, was the first to break his silence. Sharing a series of stills from Friends on Instagram, he wrote, ‘It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye. The times we had together are honestly among the favourite times of my life.’”

“Courteney Cox, 59, who played Chandler’s friend turned lover Monica Geller, followed with her post on Tuesday. She expressed her gratitude for every moment spent with Perry, sharing a scene from the 1998 episode, ‘The One with Ross’s Wedding.’”

“Jennifer Aniston, 54, who played Rachel Green, posted on Instagram on Wednesday, sharing a recent text message she received from Perry. She began, ‘Oh boy this one has cut deep… Having to say goodbye to our Matty has been an insane wave of emotions that I’ve never experienced before.’”
