Ajith Kumar’s latest action-comedy, Good Bad Ugly, has made a significant impact at the UK box office, earning GBP 96K (around Rs 1 crore) on its opening day. This strong start not only surpasses the opening of his previous film Vidaamuyarchi (GBP 86K) but also sets the stage for a potential blockbuster overseas run, especially with the extended holiday weekend ahead. The film, released on April 10, features a stellar ensemble cast, including Jackie Shroff, Arjun Das, Sunil, Karthikeya Dev, Priya Prakash Varrier, and Trisha Krishnan, with Adhik Ravichandran at the helm and Mythri Movie Makers producing the project.
One of the standout features of Good Bad Ugly is the on-screen chemistry between Ajith and Trisha, a duo that has previously charmed audiences in Vidaamuyarchi. Their dynamic relationship continues to resonate with fans, adding an emotional layer to the high-stakes action film.
The movie follows AK, aka Red Dragon, a former mobster who is pulled back into his violent past when his son is falsely implicated in a drug case abroad. As he uncovers a complex web of betrayal and long-held enemies, AK’s journey unfolds with intense action and dramatic moments, culminating in a suspenseful finale where he enforces justice in his own way.
The film is also bolstered by a high-energy soundtrack from G.V. Prakash Kumar, which has further enhanced its mass appeal, both in India and internationally. With the positive buzz and the extended holiday weekend, Good Bad Ugly is on track to earn GBP 400K–450K (approximately Rs 4.5–5 crore) over the weekend, positioning it to be one of the highest-grossing Tamil films in the UK this year.
