Fans of the 1999 romantic comedy ‘Blast From the Past’ will be delighted to hear that Alicia Silverstone, who played the lead role in the movie, is keen to reunite with her co-star Brendan Fraser for a sequel.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Silverstone said she would love to return to her role as Eve Rustikoff and work with Fraser again. She said that she has fond memories of making ‘Blast From the Past’ and would love to revisit it.
Silverstone said “With Brendan? I would do anything with Brendan. It was so much fun. I just saw Brendan after he won his Oscar and he’s so cute. He talked in his speech about how we all go through this really hard time and you have to grow and it’s part of life that you struggle and then look what happened to him! So yes, I’m happy to do that.”
The movie was a huge hit in 1999 and fans have been hoping for a sequel ever since. Now that Silverstone has expressed her enthusiasm for doing one, it looks like their dreams may finally come true!
