Super Mario Bros. Movie Reviews Are Mixed On ‘Stuffed’ Chris Pratt-Led Film

Super Mario Bros. is one of the most beloved and iconic video game franchises of all time, with millions of fans all over the world. So when it was announced that the franchise was getting a new movie adaptation, fans were understandably excited. However, now that the movie has been released, reviews have been mixed, with many fans disappointed by the film.

The new Super Mario Bros. movie, simply titled “Mario,” stars Chris Pratt as the voice of Mario, the heroic plumber who saves Princess Peach from the clutches of the evil Bowser, played by Jack Black. The rest of the cast includes a star-studded lineup of talent, including Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong.

One of the biggest criticisms of the movie is the choice of Chris Pratt as the voice of Mario. Many fans were surprised and disappointed by the casting decision, as Pratt is known for playing more action-oriented roles and doesn’t have a background in voice acting. Some fans have even gone so far as to start a petition to have Pratt replaced by the voice actor who has played Mario in previous games and cartoons, Charles Martinet.

Another criticism of the film is its “stuffing” of too many characters from the Mario universe. While many fans were excited to see characters like Donkey Kong and Toad in the movie, others feel that the film tries to do too much, and doesn’t give enough time to each character. Some have even compared the movie to the ill-fated 1993 live-action Super Mario Bros. movie, which was criticized for its overreliance on special effects and lack of focus on the characters.

Despite these criticisms, some fans have enjoyed the movie, praising the humor and action sequences. The animation style has also been praised, with many fans enjoying the bright and colorful visuals.

As with any adaptation, opinions are likely to vary, and ultimately it will be up to individual viewers to decide whether the movie lives up to the high standards set by the beloved video game franchise.
