Why I Watched It: Trailer looked decent enough and thought it might be a fun quirky crime movie.
Random Thoughts: Go back and read the plot summary, that doesn’t make any sense and it’s the official one on IMDB. Not sure how the film was punk rock it made me want to throw a rock at my computer screen I’ll give them that.
What I Liked: Bare with me cause this is going to be brief, I kind of liked the energy for the first third it kind of reminded me of the 80′s and 90′s comedy crime road movie, if you ever saw Love And A .45 you know what I mean, just going to let you know what that instead.
The only performance I liked was by Annalynne McCord she was over the top and around the corner but she was fun and she was high energy and also even though she was stuck in a really bad movie I hadn’t seen that character before, she actually brought some humour to this mess.
What I Didn’t Like: It’s funny the first third I thought was alright but the film got so mean spirited and the tone just didn’t not click, basically the film can’t be a black comedy cause it’s not funny at all and the crime stuff is so over the top it pulls you out of the movie and then we get the sex stuff an also that pretty much everyone in this film is not only a bad person but really bad, except one character.
I usually try to stay away from this stuff but the way this film deals with and writes it’s female characters is terrible and really insulting, every women is either a crazy witch or a victim and all are there for sex, plus this is almost a male fantasy film, the lead has sex with two characters and then is forced to perform oral sex on another and while he’s chasing one women around, trying to grab her cause she just saw two murders, the camera and the guy chasing her focuses on her butt the entire chase. We’re 2018 right? Maybe? This was sexist 20 years ago.
What’s weird about this film is that I think it’s going for a Pulp Fiction vibe, or a some of the knockoffs of Pulp Fiction, but again 2018, we’re still stealing from QT movies. The film was no style and really no substance, it’s not about anything, it’s loud and it’s violent and it throws sex around like candy but what it doesn’t have is a good script and also good direction. I don’t often get on my high horse about movies, to each his own or her won but this is a mean spirited and a pretty vile film.
Final Thoughts: I like genre movies and I like quirky movies but this film misses the mark by so much it’s easily one of the worst films I’ve seen since Game Over Man, I’ve seen a few movies I’ve really disliked/hated lately.
