Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge (2020) Movie Review

Director: Ethan Spaulding
Writers: Jeremy Adams, Ed Boon (based on the videogame created by)
Stars: Jennifer Carpenter, Joel McHale, Ike Amadi

When Hanzo Hasashi sees his entire life, including himself, destroyed by the hands of a rivalling clan, he vows to avenge their deaths by any means. By joining an interdimensional fighting tournament he seeks to get closer to his enemy for revenge.

This is a brutally graphic fun movie. Delivering pretty much all one would expect from a Mortal Kombat titled endeavor. The story is actually fairly bland and extremely predictable but the obvious point of this title is to give the viewers some great skull cracking, limb snatching action. The art work is cool, the voice cast is great and the action is fun. The main gripe is that even though this is called Scorpions Revenge, his overall presence feels more of an underlying story to what’s going on. All in all, enjoyable flick
