While The Quake succumbs to a few genre tropes that The Wave mostly managed to avoid, it’s an entertaining film that gives patient disaster fans their money’s worth and is definitely worth seeking out. Since a few recurring characters are its only connecting thread, it works as both a sequel and a stand-alone story.

Burning (2018) Movie Review
Jong-su (Yoo Ah-in) is an introverted college graduate who aspires to write a novel, but mostly struggles to find a job. He bumps into childhood neighbor Hae-mi (Jeon Jong-seo), and after a brief sexual encounter, he agrees to feed her cat while she’s on vacation. Jong-su becomes creepily infatuated with her, as his frequent visits to her apartment demonstrate.
Rampant (2018) Movie Review
Despite being a bit overlong, with some pacing issues and questionable plot developments, Rampant is ultimately a big, fun spin on the genre, with an intriguing setting and great production values. It’s no Train to Busan, but you shouldn’t hold that against it.
